Kofax last month communicated on the Carta Porte Version 3.0. Much of the information contained in this update remains the same- but there has been a significant update in respect of timeframes.

The Complemento Carta Porte 3.0 will now come into force on 25 November 2023 (and not 25 October 2023, as previously communicated). It has been clarified that Version 2.0 and Version 3.0 can co-exist until 31 December 2023.

As of 1 January 2024, the valid version for the Digital Fiscal Receipt (CFDI) with a Complemento Carta Porte will only be version 3.0. Taxpayers will not be able to issue version 2.0 after 31 December 2023.

Kofax’s Product, Support and Compliance teams are currently assessing the changes. We will support the new Carta Porte Version 3.0 and have a fully functional process for this operation by 1 January 2024, in line with current timeframes outlined by the Mexican Tax Authorities.
