Tungsten Automation has followed the European Commission’s distinctly ‘green’ agenda, where Europe’s legislative proposals have increasingly embedded environmental objectives within their framework. This drive took a more significant step this month.

The first European Union rules which strive to curb methane emissions have now become law.

The law will obligate the fossil fuel industry to adhere to strict standards concerning the monitoring and reporting of methane emissions. Other industries, such as coal, oil and gas, must also actively curtail methane emissions.

The law marks the progression of the European Green Deal policy, which strives to solidify specific environmental objectives.
